SCEE’s Jekyll and Hyde nature rears its head in yesterdays update once again. The good see FIFA’s Ultimate Team and trophy update go live and Rockstar’s South Central update for Midnight Club: Los Angeles which adds a whole new district to the games map. The classic Silent Hill makes a surprise appearance, Helgahst invades LBP and Power-Up Forever - a shoot-em-up from Namco crosses the pond. But… Unreal’s Titan pack was left out which has enfuriated Epic who weren’t told a thing despite it being on the US update later in the day (see their forums for details), due for us europeans next week apparently (grrrrrrrrr). The Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 demo didn’t show either so will probably be in next weeks update (if you can’t wait grab it from the US store, its worth it)

A day late but food-poisoning and keyboards don’t mix!

The store update is a really good one with the crazy-ass Nobi-nobi Boy taking centre stage and Streetfighter 2 HD Remix finally crawling onto the european store (though if anyone buys it when SF4 came out today then they’re deluded IMO). 

The timetrail DLC for Mirror’s Edge will keep the runners happy and as we reported earlier in the week the Wipeout costumes for LBP arrive..

As we reported early this week E.A. are hard at work on Home.  Among a list of over 20 developers the super giant E.A. are slowly releasing information regarding there first dip into Playstations answer to secondlife.

There first revelation came at CES when they revealed that they are working on it and a few videos started flying around the net.

Now confirmed the E.A. space will bring a whole heap of gaming goodness which will all be free!! Yeah free, looks like E.A. have milked us enough and are finally giving us something back.  The only price players will have to pay is some exposure to EA Sports advertisements that appear on the billboards and posters in the virtual world.  NICE!

It will bring Poker, golf and a racing game and is said to hold up to 50 people at once.

As you must have seen or read by now, the H.A.W.X. demo is not up.  Unofficial word is that it was shot down flying over PSN air space.  The demo of the game has been delayed for the PS3 as there is a bug which prevents folks playing the co-operative mode. It is now scheduled for a 26th February release.

Another good update, at this rate we won’t be able to complain much longer! PS1/PSP games and demos in the same week, lets hope it continues..

The Battlefield:Bad Company demo will be worth checking out and those of you without US/Jap accounts get to look at the DBZ:Burst Limit demo which isn’t much different from previous DBZ games but looks very, very pretty in HD.

Finally after months and months we get our hands on Capcom’s excellent Super Puzzle Fighter II HD Remix (well I cracked and bought it from the US a while back for cheaper but this IS the european version thats been delayed since…. well forever).
PS1 classic Rayman also makes an appearance and some map-packs for EA’s Army of Two arrive ahead of our US cousins (shock!)

Although we now about Playtv that will be hitting our shelves very soon, heres a look at the american commercial which is on there PSN.

SCEA recently trademarked filed a trademark for “Qore” that is believed to be for an online magazine destined for the PSN. It is described as “computer services, namely, providing interactive online magazine and entertainment services in the field of video games.”

This week will see a double update of the PSN store to celebrate Playstation Day.

Playstation Day is a media only press conference being held by SCEE president David Reeves which will no doubt have some interesting announcements we will be bring you later in the week..
